Please read our updates:
1. Exchange residencies are not available anymore. We will be offering some from May 2023.
2. The only programs we offer in 2022 are paid programs and run from May til November 10 every year. So if you request another day please have in mind our dates to adjust your trip. Prices start at 1400 per month, including accommodation with WIFI and kitchen plus support in producing your pieces. Food and travel expenses are responsibility of the artists.
3. Once accepted our team can assist you in producing your work. Doing research about certain thing, connecting to some communities of your interest, sourcing materials (payed by artist), and making things happen.
4. We give priority to artists that are willing to explore ir experience in depth and with a tangible project the mayan culture. This has been our focus for the last 2 years.
5. All residents need to have a travel insurance and will sign a liability form upon arrival.
6. Tulum or Valladolid?
Tulum space is perfect for writers, filmmakers, painters, and any creative soul looking for tranquility but being near to the buzzing Tulum scene.
Valladolid offers a more authentic experience because is less touristy and the city has more than 500 year of history. Here food is cheaper and you get a chance to experience the culture more than in Tulum. The mayan clay family we work with is only 15 min away from our studio and a lot fo beautiful town and cenotes are at a same distance. Visiting Chichen Itza and other important archeological sites is easier and closer than Tulum.
