Walls first,then the town.

Large-scale mural on a wall in central Tulum

The ride moves through central Tulum and the roads around it, stopping at murals produced, documented or archived by Tulum Art Club — including walls from the Holistika Art Walk and Horizontes Mexicanos.

At each stop the guide tells you who painted it, when, and what the wall was before. Some artists live here. Some came for a week in 2014 and left something that is still standing.

Between murals you pass studios, workshops and art spaces that are not on any tourist route.

The guide

Led by peoplewho painted here.

The Art Ride is guided by someone from the Tulum Art Club network — artists, producers and cultural workers who have been part of the murals, residencies and projects on the route.

It is not a script. You get context, names, dates and the parts of the story that are usually left out: permissions, weather, paint that ran out, walls that were repainted.
